At the hospital with DD

I was posting earlier about a bluish tinge around my daughter's lips and problems with her doctor.

The nurse finally called and told us to go to the ER or, even better, the Children's hospital 1.5 hours away. We've been here all night and they did an EKG, chest x-rays and blood work and have decided to admit us for observation for the next 24-48 hours. We're hopeful that DD is fine but glad they are taking every precaution. Thanks for the advice today and we'd appreciate any good vibes you could send our way for the next couple days!

    Thoughts and prayers your way!  We went through this exact same thing with LO when she was two weeks old.  Stayed in the hospital for two nights and the ruled everything out and finally decided it was acid reflux.  Since it was hurting her to breathe she was not breathing as much as she should, hence, turning blueish.  Good luck and try and get some rest!

    Lots of thoughts and prayers!!  I hope all is ok with your DD.  This must be so scary for you!  Do you guys have somewhere to stay near the hospital or can you stay in the room with her?  Lots of children's hospitals have Ronald McDonald houses or deals with hotels for familes.  Keep us updated please!

    We had 2 years of IF trying to conceive #2 and one loss during that time. We are currently trying for #3! had another loss the end of June

    Thanks everyone! You guys are the best! We are able to stay with DD at the hospital, which is just so comforting. I can't imagine if we couldn't, leaving our baby here all alone. We were planning to get a hotel if we had to because we're so far away. There's a Ronald McDonald House where we can grab a shower or stay if we end up here longer.
