Babies: 3 - 6 Months

Snuggle Nest users

Earlier this week I took my DS to the pedi because I thought he may be coming down with a cold. Sure enough, the pedi said he has an upper respiratory infection. The pedi said there isn't much I can do at this age and I will probably have to ride it out. SIGH He did, however, suggest I put DS on an elevated surface at night so help with the mucous drainage. Ew, I know.

So we opened the Sunggle Nest we got at a shower and now my poor baby is trying to get comfortable (aka sleep on his side). I've already had to go in his room and put him back on the Snuggle Nest because he was sliding off, so I'm sure tonight will be a lovely experience.

Any suggestions on how I can attempt to keep him on the Snuggle Nest? I thought about pushing it to one side of the crib, but I don't want him to use the side as leverage to help roll over. TIA

A hundred hearts would be too few To carry all my love for you.

Re: Snuggle Nest users

  • Could you put a rolled up blanket under the mattress to elevate it?

  • I took a soft blanket with a bit of texture and wrapped that around the snuggle nest mattress.  Make sure that the breathable sides are exposed and that your LO is strong enough to move her/his head need be.  This was the only way Livy didn't slide down.  It was a pain and she didn't like it though, so she just sleeps propped up on a pillow in bed with me.
