NBR: My cat died today. :(

I adopted him when I was 10 years old. He lived out his last years at my grandparents house, keeping them company and because I'm not allowed animals in the apartment I rent.

When I went to visit this past Tuesday, I noticed he was very weak. He had trouble walking and was falling over. I picked him up and held him, petting him and talking to him. I said goodbye with the feeling that he would be gone within the 2 weeks for my next visit.

My grandparents called today and told me he had passed. They buried him under a fruit tree in the backyard. He was 19 1/2 human years old.

I'm so sorry hun. I've had a few cats pass away in my life, and I must say almost 20 years old for a cat is positively amazing! I'm glad you got to say goodbye - that's really important. I hope you'll find peace soon. ((hugs))

I'm a lil better now. It was just hard when I got the call. He's been getting slower for a while now and I just had a feeling on Tuesday that he was on his last few days. I'm glad he isn't hurting anymore.
