Newbie...need hospital OB/GYN recs!

Hello all! My husband and I just took our 2nd test this morning and we found out we are pregnant!! I have not even told anyone yet, but need to make an appointment with a doctor. and then need to start planning where we will have this baby, which doctors we want to see etc. Woohoo!

 My husband and I live in Arlington Heights. Growing up I always went to Central DuPage hospital and my current OB/GYN is out of there, but it is a bit of a drive from where we live. The other option I am looking at is Lutheran General in Park Ridge. Does anyone have experience with either of these hospitals? Suggestions for doctors for either of these hospitals? I am also open to any other suggestions you may have. :-)

Thank you so much for your help with this matter. I look forward to getting to know all of you better in the months ahead. I still can't believe I am pregnant!!!

    I went to Women's Health First. They have offices in Schaumburg, Buffalo Grove and Hoffman Estates.  They were very nice.  They also deliver at Lutheran General, Northwest Community and St. Alexius Medical Center. I ended up not finishing my pregnancy with this medical group or hospitals due to a change in insurance mid-pregnancy, however, I have know woman to deliver at all three hospitals and have had great experiences. I know Northwest Community just put in a new woman's care wing which is amazing. Good luck and congrats!

    First, Congratulations!!!!

    I know you said you were looking for a dr at Luthern General or other options, so I thought I'd share my info with you -  

    I delivered at Northwest Community in AH back in February, loved the staff. They opened a brand new tower in May, and the L&D until and Mother/baby unit is now in that wing. All rooms are private, it's suppose to be very nice from what I've heard.

    I saw the Drs at Woman Care (womancarepc.com) Dr. Albion is my main dr in that office, but Dr. Weiss delivered my dd.  I really like every doctor I saw with the pratice and would have been very happy having any one of the deliver my baby.

    Congrats to you!!!!

     I heard good things about Lutheran general....The doctors that I know who work from there have an office out of elston and holbrook.. close to devon and milwaukee.

    I LOVE Women's Health First!  I have been going to them for 8 or 9 years.  I can always get in when I need to see them & have always been very happy with teh care & advice I received there.  They delivered my first daughter and will deliver my second in a few months!  I was/am high risk and have Gestational Diabetes with both pregnancies and have always felt that I was in great hands.
