constipated baby... HELP

We have literally tried everything! Cut back on table food, no cheese or bananas, she gets prune juice every day, prunes almost everyday, 1/4 tsp miralax in her morning bottle, 1/4... tsp karo syrup in her bottle at night... nothing but fruits and veggies during the day mixed with just enough muilgrain cereal to make it thick enough to stay on the spoon... she got better for a few days but now we are back to square one.... The way she screams when she strains you would think someone is stabbing her... sometimes she will try and try and nothing happens... sometimes she tries and it may take a few mins, but we get a ROCK hard chicken nugget or egg size poop. It was so bad last night I was seriously considering going to the ER. She cries, I cry, its a mess. This morning, she got some Fletchers baby-lax stuff in w/ her bottle... I think the problem is, it hurts so she holds it... she obviously didnt tell me that, but thats what Im guessing... on top of the fact that its rock solid. Any thoughts??

    I think it's time to go to the doctor, usually prunes and applejuice helps DS, but I've never heard a case where it's this bad. Good luck!

    DD had it so bad one time that she started bleeding and I started crying.  She would literally clutch me while she would bear down.  I broke my heart.  We eliminate rice, bananas, and apples.  We mixed pear juice with her oatmeal every day and only gave her pureed peaches, pears, and nectarines.  That worked for us.  But it sounds like you've done way more than we did without any results so it may be time for a doc visit for maybe something stronger.

    We tried the dr earlier this week? we were told to try warm prune juice and miralax? after a period of time, if it doesn?t help, we will get an RX. I was just hoping someone out there might have some home remedy that I havent already tried? my last resort is a glycern suppository... they make me very nervous, but I might get some to have on hand for this weekend just in case.
