just wanted to introduce myself, im an army wife living in germany with my DH. I just found out im pregnant, and im trying to maneuver my way through tricare. Im super nervous and excited!

Congrats and welcome! (As an AF brat I was born in Germany myself!). This board doesn't really have as many "rules" as some of the others on TB, but the one we do have is quite important. Check out the OPSEC for message boards sticky that the top of this page if you are unfamiliar with OPSEC regs for message boards.(The biggest issue is posting deployment/ return dates)
Otherwise enjoy, ask questions and let us know if we can support you in any way through your motherhood journey as well as your military spouse journey also. GL with your pregnancy!
Thank you SOO much for pointing this out. I as well am new to posting, and I know of the OPSEC rules, and deployment dates. But never considered my ticker, what was I thinking? UGH! I made sure to take that thing right down.

No problem! I know I sometimes have to really think about it when people ask me stuff on FB so I dont publicly post the dates. You wouldnt believe how heavily the Taliban rely on info off the internet. A ring of Taliban associated terrorists got busted about 5 miles away from our base. They had hundreds of stolen military members smart phones (ie iPhones, Droid). They were able to access the service members FB pages and find out troop deployment dates because of status updates. Not exactly what we want haha.
Im in Grafenwoehr, so like 4 hours away on the other side of germany, you'll be pretty close to france though! lucky lucky! have you ever been to germany before?

I haven't been there before, but I have family there. My grandmother is from Germany and my dad was born there way back in 1960. My grandmother's family still lives in a tiny little village about an hour south of Frankfurt. I've heard that we're only about 60 miles from Paris and Amsterdam. DH and I are super excited. Now if we could only get our official orders..
