I'm looking for convertible carseats. I really like the Britax ones (specifically the Marathon 70 so far) but I'd like to find one that isn't TOO difficult to install because I'd like to get away with only buying one since LO doesn't ride in DHs vehicle all that often. Anyone have any recommendations?? Thanks!
Re: Convertible Carseat ?
Britax seats are considered one of the easiest to install, especially if you have LATCH in your cars - they can literally take 3 minutes to install correctly. The Marathon will keep most kids rear-facing till 3-4 years old, so it's a nice choice. Then you could move onto a combination seat (like the Britax Frontier 85) forward-facing if you wanted.
You might want to consider finding a carseat safety tech in your area to teach you to install it so you're absolutely sure you have it done right.
I just bought two Britax Boulevard Car seats off of Albee Baby. You can get 20% off your purchase on their website. Just enter "20OFF" for the promotion code at checkout.
It's a good deal. No cost for shipping. Another Bumpie told me that the sale ends on the 13th.
I had Britax carseats for both of my other children and loved them, needless to say we got a Britax for this kid also...
And can I just say how much I LOVE the latch system? It is sooo much easier now than it was 10 yrs ago to install carseats!
Britax are not hard to install at all, RFing or FFing when the time comes.
With DD1, we only had a Marathon and made due with that. She rarely rode in DH's car, but we just switched the seat when necessary.
DD2 is in a Roundabout 50, and we have one of those for DH's car now b/c we got them on clearance. DD1 fits in that one just fine for when she rides with DH.
I really, really like our Britax seats.
