Too quiet to sleep?

DS has been getting up super early.  He used to sleep until at least 6am and now it's been between 3-5am.

He's in daycare and takes good naps there and goes down to bed easily, but when he does sleep, there is always noise.  Daycare is noisy and since I have to rock him in the living room, there is always something going on - the dishwasher, dryer, TV etc.

I'm wondering if it's the complete silence of the house when he wakes at night is making him wake up and wonder what's going on?

If anyone has any insight, I'd appreciate it.

Re: Too quiet to sleep?

  • maybe just try playing a radio in his room tonight and see what happens.. if he sttn until 6 then it's the noise. if he doesn't, maybe it's a growth spurt or teething!

  • We have a sound machine playing rain music.....DS goes to bed at 6pm so I like to have it on in case kids are still playing outside or someone is mowing.  I think he could probably sleep without it but it's routine and I just turn it down a bit before I go to bed.
