What did you runner moms use as a recovery drink?

  • I was not able to run much while pregnant, but I have read that milk is a good post workout drink so that would work for pregnant or not.  Gatorade is always my favorite, but I don't know if that is safe while pregnant.

    I am a distance runner and chocolate milk is the best recovery drink out there! It's natural and good for you. I stay away from protein shakes because those things are not FDA approved and are synthetic

  • Yes chocolate milk!  I was at the running store today and heard again that chocolate milk is the best.  The chocolate gives you the sugar you need to replenish glycogen stores and the protein repairs.
