Let's talk Halloween birthday party

Yep, it's an annoying birthday post here!

We're going to do a halloween birthday party.  I love the idea, I think it's going to be super fun, and we're not doing scary halloween, but little kid halloween.  We're inviting the kids to wear costumes, and it should be a great time.

For those of you doing the same, I was wondering where you are finding cute favors, decorations, etc.

Did you find a cute first birthday shirt for pics and stuff that is halloween inspired too?

    We are doing a halloween theme for lo's bday also.? Same as you trying not to be too spooky scary.? I bought most of the BOO BUNCH collection at oriental trading for decor and favors.? But local my husband wanted a few more things he saw at our local party store. ? ? For food i'm doing spider eggs(deviled eggs with black olives cut up as a spider); mummy dogs; pumpkin popcorn balls;mummy cheese body(ball); candy corn bark; for food food we are doing jambalya.? You can do a search for all these and see pics. ? ? I am going to make mummy & witch finger pretzel sticks; wafter pops?in halloween colors and candy eyes. I am going to get a frankenstein photo prop and witch photo prop that are both less than $8 each.? They are cardboard with a hole cut out for your head. ? ? I'm going to decorate with spider webs and pumpkins and we will have halloween cd playing to set the mood.?I?had to get some bats to hang and a rat.? I bought some plastic bones?just to?place out. ?I bought different balloons from ebay including a big spider with a party hat and a pumpkin with a candle on top.? I orderd personalized tombstones from oriental trading and put funny sayings.? Shindiz also has some decent priced personalized tombstones. I bought plastic cauldrons and jack o lanterns to put some of the food in. ? I have so many ideas for an evening party but we are doing it on the 30th so some towns will have trick or treating that night so I didn't want people to think they had to choose. ? For the cake lo is having a small cake with a fondunt mummy on top and for the kids they will have halloween themed cupcakes-pumpkin, spider, mummy.? For the adults they will have just solid colored icing. ? For his invitation I designed it and matching banners,? he is in 4 different costumes (spider, mummy, turtle & rock star.? I just ordered them from vista print, front and back color print with shipping and a poster of it was $40 bucks.? CHEAP!!? I don't want to post a pic just yet b/c my family hasn't seen it. ? If you'd like give me your email and I can send you pic of some of these ideas and his invite. ? Hope I didn't overload you....i'm excited about it!!
