I will have a good sleeper who is not addicted to a 5 minute playing sea horse!
I literally was armycrawling into her room at 5am this morning (if she saw me she would stand up and not go back to sleep) to put my hand under her bumper and press the sea horse back on.
Ugghh.. I also will not nurse/rock/hold a baby to sleep and create a habit like I have done with DD.
I feel like I am one of those parents in the sleep training textbooks who dug themselves this deep hole and don't know how to get out.
What will you do differently next time around?
Re: Next time....
I have lots of little things I'll do differently with #2.
Nothing interesting, BUT I had to comment on the mental image of you army crawling into her room.
Hilarious!

I like to rock my baby to sleep, so I'll do that next time too
I will have a better attitude and enjoy the newborn stage more. And I'll ask for more help from DH while I'm on leave
I'll work harder to keep the nursing relationship. Pumping is too much of a PITA

LO #2 - TTC 7 months, surprise spontaneous BFP!
This will be our only LO, but I would cherish the newborn stage much more.
I wouldnt worry much about sleep because I know its only temporary, and he will only want me to rock him to sleep for a very short amount of time in his life. That I miss, he never wants to cuddle with me anymore.
