My 7 week old is wearing 6 month clothes.
All the clothes we bought and were given before she was born were NB or 3 month. It makes me sad because some of the "going out" outfits were never even worn since we really don't go out a lot. She spends most of her days in onesies and pants.
So now she has a handful of 6 month clothes- some of which is winter stuff because she'll be 6 months old in January! She has no 9 month clothes. She has 4 12-month onesies, and THAT'S IT!
Are clothing sizes that wonky, or is my kid huge?!

I think she just has a long torso - the 6 month pants are a touch long, but 3 month onesies barely snap.
It seems like she's growing out of clothes as fast as we buy them.
I guess I had better get used to it.
Both! Danny is in 6 month sizes now too, He's already in size 3 diapers.
I have to go get him some socks, he has clown feet and none of the socks I have fit him.
We went through a stage like that.
One thing that I am doing now is use dresses that she has grown out of (too short since she is long) I use them as a shirt with cute shorts/pants/leggings. Its great because you can get more than just a couple of uses out of things that way. DD wears a couple NB or 0-3 dresses still.
Definitely both. I have some NB outfits that still fit him, but the Gerber onesies run super small so he has to wear the 3-6 month ones.
I like the bigger sizes on him though, he's got a big head and they're easier to get on him!

My DS is tall, he's already in 6, 9, and some 12 month onsies and pants. I hate throwing stuff in the too small pile already. At least the weather's about to change and he can't wear all that summer stuff anyways.
And yes, clothing sizes can be really wonky.
I do this too, I can still use a few 12m dresses as tank tops for DD. This might have been the last summer for those ones though.
