An acquaintance on FB just posted about 12/21/12 being the end of the world and there are like thirty-something comments from people discussing. Am I the only on who hasn't heard about this? What is she talking about?!

    Lol.  12-21 is my brother's birthday and I always tease him about this.  At least it's the longest day of the year if it's going to be the last day lol.

    I thought the longest day of the year was June 21st, not December 21st.

    The Mayan calendar only goes up to 12/21/12. So people are being all superstitious and saying that that's when the world is going to end.

    Yes I am sure this is the end of the world..just like the whole yr 2000..To be honest..IMO (and I am a Christian)  So I believe when God comes back that will be the end..we dont know when the end of the world is gonna be..Just enjoy life..

    I am not losing sleep over it. It's just that people acted like this was common knowledge, which made me wonder how I hadn't heard. However, I am not surprised if everyone knows this but me. I seem to always be the last to hear about things. I guess it is because I spend too much of my time working, taking care of baby, and watching reality TV.    Big Smile

    It's all ridiculousness. The Mayas all sacrificed themselves to the point no one was left to finish their never ending calendar. That's my theory at least?. Wink

    It's funny that according to all of us the greatest things in life are sex and food.

    I will skip the pasta, pizza, and go for biscuits and gravy which has got to be the worst (but best) food possible. If I'm not too full, I may put out. We'll see.

    Whoa. No, I haven't, but I am intrigued. French fries with cheese and gravy?! What kind of cheese, nacho? And what kinda of gravy? This is blowing my mind and clearly only a food for my last day on earth.

     Ah, yes.  aka Poutine, Disco fries...  either way, delish!  I've usually had it with melted cheese curds and a brown gravy.  But I've had them with American and cheddar (and I've wanted to try it with Swiss) and with chicken gravy. 

    And as another variance - fries dipped in vinegar (apple cider or white both work).  Also yum!  (yeah, I like fries  haha)

    Actually 21/12 is the longest day of the year down here.  Does that mean the world is only ending for peeps in the northern hemisphere?  ;)
