Our house already looks like toys r us so I am not sure what we should tell people when they ask about what to get DS for his birthday.
He also has SO many clothes. I'm at a loss for what to tell people. We still want to get him stuff too.
Please give me some ideas!!!
Re: What are you asking for (Birthday Gifts)
I have actually quit buying clothes for DD. She's the only girl grandchild on both sides ( I have 4 nephews), and the grandmas go a little overboard shopping for her. (Not complaining, I love the saved money:). I'm assuming they will spoil her rotten on her b-day, but we're having a really small party (15 people), so I'm not too worried.
What my brother and SIL do when they get too many toys for my nephews is that they bring some of the toys to my parents' house and to SIL's parents' house. Then they don't have to bring toys when they visit.
You could ask for books, or for the next size clothes. Or pajamas. DH and I aren't buying toys for Nora for her b-day. Instead, we've signed her up to go to music class with me (on Saturday mornings).
LOVE this idea, we have a zoo and a science museum and a childrens learning center really close by, but its super expensive to pay per visit
