We're starting potty training (slowly) and I'm curious if anyone has done this successfully? I'm thinking of just using the diaper covers during the day.
ETA: The covers are from our all-in-twos and fleece lined.
Not sure if you CD prior or not but we do/did (I have a 6 month old) and when DS was 12 months old we took the fleece liners out of his prefolds and the stay dry liners out of his fitted. I really think this was the reason that at 14 months old he was telling us and when he was 17 months old we started PT and it went super easy. We do use a diaper cover for naps and bedtime (its the bummis whisper wrap pull up kind) just in case- its been 5 months and we're ready to drop it. I don't think a CD with fleece lining would help at all since the fleece wicks away the moisture. We went straight to underwear without issues. My feeling was that a pull up was basically just like his CD.
If you oculd pull them up like big boy pants (and not fasten them each time) and put them over big boy p ants, I say it's a great idea. We couldn't do that, plus he was outgrowing all of his, but I think it'd be a great way of containing some wetness, but letting them still feel it, you know? If you're doign that, and the big boy/girl pants are inside the covers, it won't matter if they're fleece lined, IMO.
Re: Thoughts on using a cloth diaper cover instead of pull-ups
