What are your strategies to get LO to sleep for longer stretches? I know DS is only two weeks old, but I unfortunately have to return to work in only two weeks :-( and I desperately need him to sleep more than two hours at a time. I'm BFing right now, and I'm going to start pumping in the next day if I can so DH can help feed at night until I go back to work, but then I will have to use pumped milk for time during work, which is about 10-11 hours most days with driving time. Any advice for the transition is greatly appreciated!
Re: Help me get LO closer to STTN...
Around 4-5 weeks was when Katie started sleeping longer stretches at night and stopped being awake for what seemed like all night (you know, when they're up from like 1-4AM and won't fall asleep no matter what you do).
How much does he weigh now? I think 10 lbs is a magic number for longer night time sleeping, but every baby is different.
He weighs almost 8 pounds now, but it's nice to have some kind of guideline!
DS is really weird - he is the only baby I have ever met that absolutely hates to be swaddled. He will not go to sleep until he gets his arms free, and then once he does, he falls right asleep. We tuck his blanket until his arms at night.

Try swaddling him with his arms free. That's how Cole slept.
