Between 3:30 and 6:30 pm, this was my evening:
left work, picked up DS, came home, washed bottles, made tomorrow's bottles, washed pump stuff, unpacked lunch bag, started dishwasher, sorted today's dirty clothes/diapers, started a load of diapers, packed new clothes/diapers for tomorrow, went for a walk, fed DS, gave DS a bath, soaked beans for tomorrow's dinner, made ice cream, made dinner
Am I nuts? DH had a late class today, so he got home mid-bath and put DS to bed. DH also unloaded the dishwasher, cleaned up from dinner, and hung the diapers, so it's not like I'm doing everything.
Is this what everyone else's evenings look like? Are we crazy?
Re: Do your evenings look like this?
Since DS only goes to the sitter every other day, our evenings only look like that every 2 nights!
But seriously, DH will pick him up tonight, and when he gets home it's breastfeeding, a little snuggle and play time, then breastfeeding again, then a bath, then breastfeeding again and putting DS to bed.
During this time, DH will get feed the dogs, get dinner ready, set the table, and clean up after DS's bath.
I WAH so at least the dishwasher already got unloaded today. What fun - that's what I do when I get up from my desk. Unload the dishes and vacuum up dog hair.
Dog hair is the bane of my existence! I love my dogs, but sometimes I wonder why I didn't get non-shedding breeds!
I have been craving ice cream, and there's not many places to buy non-dairy, non-soy stuff. I'm hoping the stuff I made with almond milk comes out ok!
It's out of control, seriously. The canister on our Dyson makes me sick to look at. NOT going to be pretty when DS starts crawling.
I'm just happy DS is going to learn to crawl in the winter! Spring is the worst! I like to refer to spring as "shedding season".
I don't know how they have any hair left on their bodies.
I get home between 5:30-6. As soon as I get home it's play with the baby, feed her, bath time, bed by 7-7:30, dinner for me and DH, play on the computer for a little bit, wash the bottles, do some cleaning, and then I am normally in bed my 9:30.
I seriously feel that as soon as I walk in the door it's go, go, go until I crash in bed.
A bit, but I do some of those things in the morning, particularly the bottles/pump parts. I throw them in a bin of soapy water overnight. I also make my lunch in the morning.
I handle dinner, feeding & bathing DS. DH plays with the dog, washes dishes, and makes his lunch. We both do laundry when we get a minute. Our Flip diapers thankfully don't necessitate too too much laundry.
Summer 2011
I keep thinking I have no idea how I'm going to do this with 2, but I guess I'll figure it out!
This would not have been possible at all before 3 months! Now that DS is a little older, I can put him down and he can entertain himself for a bit. It's such a relief!

2IF does not always equal 3IF...Surprise!
Yup. Pretty much.
I pick M up at 4:40...we're home by 5. I usually feed her and then she plays while I cook dinner. We eat and are done around 6:30. By the time I wash bottles and clean up from dinner it's 7, then we go on a walk till about 8. After our walk is bath, bottle, and bed.
