40w1d ...still no baby

I have not posted on here in a long time. So I wanted to just drop a line. I am one day past my due date and still no baby. :)) my cervix is closed shut and so induction is not being discussed yet. My BP is still  fluctuating so I am being monitored closely for that. Hopefully at my appt tomorrow we will have a plan!!:)...First it was all about getting pregant...and now the anxiety is all about getting the baby out!!

 P.S. does anyone have any tips or tricks to bring on labor?

    It has been a while since we have seen you. I am sorry you are now overdue. You must be so uncomfortable. Lets hope that the baby comes out soon.

     I know.... I have totally been MIA!! well a month back I was put on modified bedrest, so I spent most of my time watching TV and reading novels or checking emails on iphone.I was hardly turning on my laptop.though I would occasionally check the boards,I had nothing interesting to post!! what can a pregnant lady on bed rest really have to say?? LOL

    Been there done that. I spent 7 weeks on bedrest with Hayden. Not a fun time for me but I only made it to 36 weeks after PTL at 29 weeks. I did spend some times on the boards during bedrest but not as much because yeah, what did I have to say?? I looked a lot at the parenting posts so I knew what to do once the baby arrived. LOL!

    Ugh.  I, unfortunately, know how you're feeling.  You wait so long to get to the end of your pregnancy and then your LO doesn't want to come out!  I got induced at 41 1/2 weeks--I hope you don't have to wait that long!  As for what brings on labor, I don't know.  I tried everything and nothing worked!

    None of the tricks worked with my DD. It's mad once you pass the date... really, really frustrating, but you'll be holding your LO soon and you'll forget all about this!

    Ugh, I know how you feel. You're so ready, you're just going crazy.

    I went until 40w5d before my water broke at home. I did A LOT of walking in those five days! :)

    Hang in there -- I hope you're meeting LO very soon!

    After 20 months, 3 Clomid cycles and 4 IUI cycles, IVF #1 with ICSI = BFP!

    It's so good to see you!  I'm sorry you're disappointed, but fortunately things can happen very quickly, and measurements can mean very little!  I'd say sex, evening primrose oil, supposedly spicy foods, and in my case acupuncture is what finally got labor going.  And WALK as much as you possibly can!  You still have 13 days before you're really considered late, for better or worse. ;)  Good luck, and please keep us posted! :)
