Does anyone have a Britax Roundabout car seat?

Sorry, I'm peeking in from 3-6 here...

Target is having a super sale on Britax Roundabout (normally $160 on sale for $100) right now so I thought about picking it up even though he's nowhere near ready for it.

Likes?  Dislikes?  Is this worth springing for now?

Thanks gals!

Re: Does anyone have a Britax Roundabout car seat?

  • Isn't the sale for the Roundabout 50?

We have this seat and LOVE it. We also have a Boulevard that we used as our main carseat until we got the Roundabout 50. I actually like to Roundabout 50 better. The Boulevard is now our spare seat. It's not as quick to install as the Boulevard, but I prefer that it doesn't have the wings that the Boulevard has. DD fits better in the Roundabout 50 than in the Boulevard too.

You cannot beat it for $100! I say jump at the opportunity!

  • You know, I'm not even sure if it's the 50. Embarrassed  I just knew that for $60 cheaper I was pretty interested!

    Thanks for your review :)

  • I bought a roundabout 50 on clearance at Target a few months ago, and I had it in my car for a few days until I decided that I wanted a MyRide65 instead and I sold it. I didn't like how the sides didn't curve around too much...seemed like when my LO would fall asleep his head wasn't supported enough and he would fall forward pretty bad. I liked the myride cause the sides are pretty wide and when he falls asleep his head rests more on the sides. That was my only gripe...it seemed like a really well constructed, comfortable seat otherwise.

  • I say get it while you can. The only reason why it's on clearence is because they just introduced the Roundabout 55. Same exact thing just you can keep you baby in it for 5 more pounds.

  • If its the Roundabout 50 I say definitely jump on getting it.  We have two of these and love them.
  • We got our BR 50 on clearance at Target a few months ago and we just installed it this weekend. M managed to fall asleep in the seat in the 15 minutes it took to get home from day care. I then left her parked in the driveway with the doors open while I unloaded the car/sat reading in the backseat and she slept soundly for 30 minutes despite slamming the trunk.

It was not as hard to install as the infant seat, it is a nice pattern and looks great, and clearly it's comfortable for our little peanut. I should mention that I drive a Jetta and with the infant seat, it was impossible to have a passenger. With the Britax, I can drive people around again! I'm 5'9" and I fit tightly, but comfortably, in the front passenger seat with the seat rear facing behind.

  • We have 3 Britax carseats, 2 of them the Roundabouts.  I love them and also got them on clearance at Target.  Won't buy any other carseats now.  I acually started to use it real early in my car even...Cedric wasn't much older than your baby is now.  I was tired of carrying the pumpkin seat and left that for my DH.  I would get it...such a great deal.
