I'm anxious!!!!!!!!!! I never got to feel anything the last time and now I am realizing how anxious I am to feel something this time. And a dumb question, what exactly does it feel like?
The first movement that I could confirm was movement was at 18 weeks. it felt like a slow vibrator in my tummy. Prior to this I also felt things like one of those twitches your eye makes when you are tired but in the tummy. The kicks feel like a big air bubble pop at first.
I started to feel movement at 16.5 weeks, but I wasn't sure that it was baby. A week later, I was sure it was baby. At first, I felt the flutters. You know how your tummy feels when going down a roller coaster? That is how it felt, but only for a second before it would stop. I also feel like a feather is tickling me inside. Now I am feeling light tapping or a popping sensation along with the flutters.
I started feeling little bumps around 15 weeks, but I wasn't totally sure it was baby until after 16 weeks. They started getting much more constant after that. Good luck and I hope you feel your little one soon!
I felt movement around 14w. It became more consistent around 16. It felt to me like a small muscle spasm. I only felt the movement when I was laying down. I hope you feel something soon.
I think I'm immune to feeling flutters or something, because most of what I feel only feels like kicks. I never felt flutters with Clark, but it started with kicks. They feel literally like little pokes from the inside (almost like poking your cheek with your tongue) and little muscle spasms. I've felt a *tiny* bit of fluttery feelings with this one, but most of what I feel still feels like kicks. It's like the spasm, big pushes from the inside. This one almost tickles me sometimes. DH can feel them and hear them when he lays his head on my belly and sometimes gets a BIG reaction from baby--those are the ones that almost tickle...hehe. I hope you feel something soon!
EDIT: Sorry, you asked when: With Clark I felt it at 17 weeks. With this one, the feeling started at 14 weeks but didn't get stronger and happen daily until around 18 weeks.
Ooh! It's awesome! I felt my first flutters in my 14th week and now I feel like little kicks. DH felt them for the first time a few days ago. Sometimes when you look at my belly, you can see it move I can't wait for you to feel it!
Re: When did you feel kicking?
I felt some light flutters around 15.5 weeks, though I wasn't positive it was baby then. I felt my first DEFINITE baby kicks around 17 weeks.
A
I have an anterior placenta and so my expereince may not be typical.... however I did not feel definitel movement until 22/23 weeks.
Most ladies tend to feel movement earlier, however with the anterior placenta feeling movement can be delayed.
