Is anyone not finding out if LO is a boy or a girl?
I am really hoping to be able to wait until the delivery, but as the weeks go by and the 20 week ultrasound gets closer and closer, I am wavering.
We just told most of our family last weekend and they were all surprised to hear that we weren't going to find out. (not sure if it is because I am Type A and a planner, that surprised them, or if everyone is finding out these days)
Re: Anyone not finding out?
We aren't finding out. This is the greatest, most wonderful surprise in life! Yes it's difficult, but I don't NEED to know; it's one or the other, and we'll find out eventually.
I think it'll be worth it in the end!
BFP#1 5.27.10 DS became an angel at 21 weeks on 9.22.10
BFP#2 4.16.11 Healthy baby girl born 12.14.11
BFP#3 9.3.12 A healthy, bouncing baby SISTER on the way! EDD 5.12.13
This is exactly it!

Definitely not finding out for a few reasons.
- What a fun surprise it will be on our delivery day.
- I'm not one for decorating in pinks or blues, or dressing babies super girly or whatever, so there's no need to know.
- we're planning more kids in the future, so what if I were to go out and buy all pink stuff for the first, and then find out the second is a boy...that mean I have to go out and buy a new car seat/crib sheets etc because I chose girly colors with the first?
Totally a personal preference so I understand those wanting to know, but for me and my husband it is one of the greatest surprises life has to offer, so we're going to have fun daydreaming in the meantime
We didn't find out with #1 because it's the most awesome surprise EVER! Of course by the time #2 came around, there was no way on this earth you could keep me from finding out. I had an elective u/s at 16 weeks with him.
I don't want to find out this time, but we're going to so that our LOs can feel more connected to the baby. They just don't know what to call "it". I think it will help them prepare. But if I didn't have that to consider, I would most definitely hold out again. It was so much fun having the doc say "It's a GIRL!" (especially when everyone was convinced it was a boy
