clicky poll: dx my kids

The boys haven't been feeling well the last few days.  I first started noticing it on Sunday when N had really rosy cheeks.  He's had a fever on and off, runny nose, congestion, coughing, and sneezing.  He hasn't been sleeping well, not eating the best, and has been pretty cranky although the crankiness comes and goes in waves.  C has had the same symptoms but not as severe.  I don't feel anything in either of their mouths.[Poll]

    Ack, I put teething - take to pedi, totally meant not to take them to the pedi.  Sounds like it might also be a cold, but I'd still ride it out.  Our pedi won't see us anyway unless the fever is significant.

    Does your pedi or insurance have a nurse line you can call? That's what I would do.

    I don't think it's teething.  I'm leaning toward a cold.  I agree with wise Warrior--call the nurse line and see what they say, as to whether or not they should be seen by the pedi.  Hang in there mama, I know it's bad enough having 1 sick LO.

    Ellie is getting over basically the same thing. It was just a cold, but with that 101 fever. We were at a wedding Sunday in the cry room at church. There were about 5 other toddlers in there and I swear, every single one had snot running down their faces at one point or another. I think it's just going around.

    I'd be more likely to think ear infection if they didn't both have it, but since ear infections aren't contagious, I think it's more likely they're just sharing a cold.
