Does DD need a "I'm a girl!" label?

Even though I have her in pink shorts and pink sunglasses, people still go "aww hes a cutie!" or "hey little buddy!"

It's like.....nope, I dress my boy in pink dresses and fluffy socks!

vent...over.

=)

  • Yeah, DD has gotten that, even dressed in a totally girlie outfit.

  • lol several ppl said that to me in Walmart today... DS was in a black & green carseat, in brown & blue pants, & a blue football shirt...

Maybe it was because he was screeching like a little girl ;) HA

  • We get that sometimes.  I think it's because she's bald, but who in their right mind would put a big headband on their son?

  • I get that a lot.  I'll have DS dressed in "boy clothes" and people still ask.  I think it's because of his hair.

  • def annoying! DS is always dressed in blue, or sports themes and i still get "omg she is sooo beautiful" ... i dont get it.
  • I firmly believe that people are dumb.  DD has her ears pierced, is always in pink or pink & white, usually has barrettes in, and is still called a boy on plenty of occasions Huh?

In fact, I have five children two of which are girls.  This old lady in my church is constantly telling me how lucky I am to only have boys, and how lucky I am that they are all handsome....  I'll attach a pic of my 8 year old.  Tell me how dumb people are now!!  (I should mention that she almost always wears pink to church as well...)

  • The other day DD had on a pink and red heart dress and the waiter said "he's such a handsome little one".  At first I thought he was talking to my older son.  It was a little creepy and strange but I shrugged it off and gave him a weird look (along with my 12 y/o son).  Then he leaned down and asked DD if "he was going to be a football player".  Hrrmmm what?!?
