Hi all! I was a member of the Knot, Nest and now Bump. We have been married almost a year (this weekend is our anniversary!), and the baby fever is in full force! My husband wants to wait at least one more year before TTC. I have been on BC now for almost 2 years. How long before TTC have most of you come off of BC?

    I'm new too, not TTC just yet, but am on my 3rd cycle off BC. We'll start trying in Jan or Feb so total of 7-8 months off BC. I'm charting and letting my body get itself regulated. I've learned a lot from lurking on the boards.

    I think my doc said it best "if you're off BC... you're trying". If you're off BC, just be fully aware that BFP is definately a possibility. Just because you aren't "trying" by picking certain days or tracking your cycle doesn't mean it's not a possibility. Plenty of ladies on here can tell you stories of 1st cycle off BC=BFP. I wish you both the best of luck :)

    I agree with your statement, however when I say we are not trying, it means we are using other forms of birth control.

    Congrats on the anniversary!  My husband and I would both like to be TTC but we are trying to get our finances in order as best as possible.  In saying that, I did wrap up my BC on our honeymoon because I thought it would take a few months to regulate/ovulate like it did for my friends.  I couldn't have been more wrong--I regulated right away and have bene regular since--and it's been four months.  We are not actively trying, we use other forms to protect ourselves, but if can play it safe--I don't see any issues with going off of the pill or whatever.  Just be careful until you are both ready and TTC.
