diaper rash advice..

if you havent heard of A&D diaper ointment... it has worked wonders for us! i hadn't tried it yet and we were using extra strength desitin.  but LO's diaper rash kept getting worse and she started bleeding a little bit.  I was about to call the doc to get advice and i thought to try some different diaper cream.  so we tried A&D and it helped immediately! just thought i'd share if anyone needs something different.

we had used balmex, which did nothing, desitin regular, desitin extra strength, baby bum bum, and burts bees.

Re: diaper rash advice..

  • we swear by Beadreuaxs (sp) butt cream. its cleared all of DDs diaper rashes up within a day or so, and the texture seems to be a lot more soothing then desitin. That stuff has never worked for us.

  • we use A&D too! Just so you know for the future. Our doctor recommended using paper towels dipped in warm soapy water instead of wipes when it gets bloody like that.

  • My pedi's office gave us a bunch of samples of Dr. Smith's ointment, I'm not even sure where to buy it but it's awesome stuff.
