Boston Babies

Any other 1st time mom's in first trimester?

Hi!

I'm new to TheBump.....My husband and I are expecting our first baby in April 2011. I'm currently 2 months along and will be moving to Beacon Hill in Jan.

I'd love to meet other newly pregnant moms-to-be who are in the Boston area to share in the rollercoaster of being pregnant!!!!

  • hello,

my name is Meleni..I am 2 months along as well. How is it going for you? I live in Dorchester but my sister used to live in Beacon Hill and loved it! If you love being in the city, like to walk there are lot of places to see and experience. There is also a place called Haymarket that has a huge farmers market so if you like fresh veggies and fresh seafood this is the place.

Where will you be coming from?

  • Congratulations!   Beacon hill is great.  We lived there for a bit, but then moved to Brighton.  Not a first time mom (have a 7month old daughter), but I'm 10 weeks pregnant.

Where are you delivering?  I go to MGH and I absolutely love it!!!!  Good luck!

  • Thanks so much for your post!

Congratulations on your 2nd pregnancy! Is the 2nd time around a bit easier? I've been on an emotianal rollercoaster the past few days, and will cry at the drop of a hat! My poor husband!  I've heard things tend to stablize in the 2nd trimester....was that true for you?

I work in Newton, and will be delivering at Newton Wellesely Hosp. I've heard MGH is amazing though!

  • Hi Meleni-

Thanks for your post/reply! I'm doing pretty well. I tend to have general queasiness on and off during the day, and oer this past weekend I was so, so emotional and feeling quite lazy. Is it like this for you?

  • Congrats and welcome!  I used to live on the Hill before I married DH - and moved in w/ him in Belmont.  I miss it so much sometimes!  There are great restaurants there - Figs and Ma Soba are my favorites :-)  I'm delivering at Newton-Wellesley as well (in Dec.).  I've heard great things about it.

  • ccbelle-

We used to live in BH too, and decided to venture out to try the suburbs. But, we missed BH so much, that we've decided to come back to the city to raise our family! Figs is totally my fav place too! We go there almost every Fri night!

Belmont is beautiful though! Actually, my husband's family lives in Belmont.

So glad you've heard great things about Newton-Wellesley. Is this your first baby? Would love to stay in touch!

  • Ah, Figs every Friday night.  I am SO jealous.  That reminds me of when I was first dating DH...  and the yummy bottle of wine we would drink.  I may miss that even more!

Yes, this is my first baby (a little girl - yay).

And Mainerocks - I would LOVE a review of NWH.  You can write it in your "free time" once the baby comes ;-)

  • I'm also due in April! Live in Cambridge, work in Boston.
  • First time mom here. :} I live on the southcoast though.
  • Hello,

I am also a first time mom in my 1st trimester.  I was 6 weeks yesterday, estimated due date is May 2nd, 2011.  I am delivering at Newton-Wellesley too and using Wellesley Women's Care as my Ob practice.  We are excited but I am so nervous because of all the women I know who have miscarried.

I would love to hear other people's thoughts.

    Stephanie

  • Hi! I am new to the Bump, too.  I am a 29 y/o first time mom and about 9 weeks along.  I live in Watertown and work in Waltham.  DH works in East Boston and we head into the city often.

I am delivering at Newton Wellesley, too.  My ob is at Wellesley Women's Care.  One of my friends delivered at NWH in August and couldn't have been more thrilled with her experience (midwives, tub time, natural birth).

    Nice to meet you :-)

  • Hi ladies who are delivering at Newton-Wellesley - I've heard good things about Wellesley women's care - wondering who you are using as your ob/gyn?
