EPO Classes

Hi ladies. Did any of you take prenatal classes through EPO?  If so what did you think of them?

    We went through EPO. They did a great job of covering everything. There is even a chance to take a tour of Labor and Delivery if you are delivering at Sparrow

    We actually just had our tour at Sparrow this last Wednesday!  I feel better knowing where exactly to go when I go into labor.  Was nice to see how the rooms are remodeled now too.

    Yea sorry I was late to the game. I didn't realize the Lansing board actually had people on it now. I try to be social but I am lame :) Glad you got to take a tour. It is so much more relaxing to know where you are going when the time comes. Good Luck!

    I hope more people start using the Lansing boards...would be nice to chit chat with others around here.  Thanks for the well wishes, we're getting super excited!  I know I'll be exhausted with the baby but I'm really looking forward to having a break from work for awhile!

    Yes the time off of work is great. even if you are trying to adjust to a new life with a new person. It definitely gets exhausting sometime especially when all you want to do is sleep and someone else has the idea that 3:30 am is time to get up. but you will find a way to make it work.

    Are the Sparrow tours only available through the EPO?  We are birthing at the Greenhouse--but will transfer to Sparrow if there is an issue.  I would really like to know where I will be going if there is a concern.  When I called the department flat out told me that they do not do tours and I needed to contact my OB (technically I don't have an OB) so that's not really an option for me!  We were able to just show up for the weekly tour at Ingham when we were trying to decide where we were going to have the baby.

    I do believe the tours are only available through EPO, and I believe they are free for everyone but it might be good to give them a call.  Their phone number is 337-7365, they are very helpful and pleasant to deal with :)
