Who here had false neg hpt?

in 1st Trimester

I am currently 16DPO. AF was due 2 days ago, and I am not normally late. We are ttc and I have been experiencing some pg symptoms. However, all the hpt tests I have taken are BFN! I just know that I am pg. Have any of you experienced this? If so, how long after O (or how late was AF) before you got your BFP? TIA.

    i did but got a postive a week later..i think i either implanted late or o'd late  bc i wasn't charting. love your little boys pic.hilarious!

    No. I don't like using FF (I know most of you do) so I am just charting on my own. I know I ovulated on 8/22.

    If you're sure you ovulated on 8/22, then you're looking at a quite late implantation, which is definitely possible.  Actual false negatives are rare - usually someone ovulated later than they thought and the first test they took was just taken too early.  Are you temperatures still high?  That CAN be an indicator, but not necessarily.

    I'd give it another couple of days and try again.  If you haven't gotten a period in another week, call the doc.

    I don't know if mine were "false" but I got BFNs from 9-13dpo, and then finally got a VERY faint line last night on an IC when I tested on a whim before I got in the shower.  It just depends on the sensitivity of the test and the amt of HCG in your system, which is constantly increasing.  I got a BFN in the morning of 13dpo, but a BFP at night.  Good Luck!

    I was a week late for AF before I tested BFP.  I had tried a few days earlier (4 days late for AF) and got a BFN.

    I knew I was PG even though I got a BFN.. just kept peeing on a stick once a day for 7 more days til i saw the postive.  Hope you join us soon!

    I wouldn't consider it a false negative, but I got a negative on a Clear Blue digital test a few days before AF was due. I tested with a FRER test the day after AF was due and got a faint positive, but then tested negative on the pee test at doctor's office. Blood test confirmed pregnancy, but my HCG level was too low at that point to trigger all but the most sensitive of tests. I typically have short cycles, so I tested positive VERY early (I was somewhere between 2 and 3 weeks, where normally you wouldn't test positive until at least 4 weeks.).

    I tested the day AF was due and got BFN, the day after (BFN) and finally got a faint line 2 days after AF was due. My OB said I ovulated later than normal.
