  The 30D is big- time, Blayne, congrats! My 50mm 1.8 is amazing- I love it. It is a great portrait lens- perfect for Briley! Later when u are more used to it, you might want another lens to add to your collection! ;-)

  Awesome!  Have you bought it yet?  I just ask because a 30D +50mm 1.8 is NOT worth $1,000!  I just sold me 50 1.8 for $75 and am trying to sell my 40D for $650.    For $1,000 you can almost even buy a used 50D.

  I meant $1000 for a new camera - I'm getting this one for $400, which was comparable with what I saw for used ones online. Thanks for looking out!
