He's the single greatest thing I've done in my life and reminds me daily of how fun (and funny) life can be.  He's turned out pretty swell for having such a heartless and evil mother.

H realized I'd gone 28 weeks without an actual full-body picture.  I, of course felt like crap and he kept trying to get "the perfect" picture.  We were heading out to take care of my moms chickens.  Yup, you read that right.  We were off to take care of the chickens.  I know you're jealous.

I am kind of jealous actually.  One of my requirements if we move to Ireland is that I get chickens.   Just a couple for fresh eggs.  My resonsibility to build the foxproof coop and everything.  I almost bought a book on raising chickens a couple of weeks ago, even though there is no serious moving talk at all.

lol, You would get along with my mom.  She wanted a few for a few fresh eggs....now she gets 4-5 eggs a day and has to give away eggs just about every week.  She loves her "girls" though.  I wanted to paint the coop funky colors and write "The Love Shack: Where everyone goes to get laid" on the side, but she poo-poo'd that idea.

Interesting side note:  Did you know if you have all hens, one (usually) won't lay because it becomes the alpha male of the group (for lack of a better term?).  I did not know this.  However, now mom is getting 5 eggs a day (with only 5 birds) so either the alpha male is laying or someone is producing two a day.

My in-law's neighbors have 3 chickens. Living in the burbs they never thought they would have chickens next door.

LoL, Thanks.  I'll tell mom and dad you like it.  It's my parents "farm" (note: they lease out the fields and only raise chickens, but they call it the farm).  I grew up there.

That is an excellent camera-smash face :-)
