Anyway, I ha(d) very thick hair too, and started losing it, maybe around 3 months pp? It stopped a couple months later, but I was also KU, so that's probably why. I don't know how long it lasts.
I know that the reason it happens pp is that your hair doesn't fall out at its normal rate during pregnancy. So there's actually a lot of excess. In theory you're supposed to be losing the same amount of hair you would have lost, had you not been pregnant.
Its so scary and sad isnt it! Mine started about when yours did....I have noticed this week it is getting better. Sometimes I think if I dont wash it everyday it will help....well then I lose twice as much in one washing! Dr Google told me it should stop by when the baby is 6 months starting around 3 months. GL!
