Parenting after a Loss

I never thought it would happen to me

But my hair is falling out too Crying

I have a ton of hair and it{s really thick so I have always shed a lot, but it is coming out in handfuls.

WTF are you supposed to do? Why does this happen PP? I?m pissed and about to call Dr. Google to find out.

  • I thought this was going to be a BFP post ...

Anyway, I ha(d) very thick hair too, and started losing it, maybe around 3 months pp?  It stopped a couple months later, but I was also KU, so that's probably why.  I don't know how long it lasts.

I know that the reason it happens pp is that your hair doesn't fall out at its normal rate during pregnancy.  So there's actually a lot of excess.  In theory you're supposed to be losing the same amount of hair you would have lost, had you not been pregnant.

  • Its so scary and sad isnt it!  Mine started about when yours did....I have noticed this  week it is getting better.  Sometimes I think if I dont wash it everyday it will help....well then  I lose twice as much in one washing!  Dr Google told me it should stop by when the baby is 6 months starting around 3 months.  GL!

  • It just keeps getting better doesn't it...

This is the sh!t they should tell you in sex ed - there would be way fewer teen pregnancies if they knew about all these dumb little things that happen.

  • I know the feeling. I have a whole hand full by the time I'm down with a shower and I have to empty my brush twice a week now. It's so frustrating!
