Q about going in and out with LO

What do you guys do when you are alone with LO and you have to bring more into or out of the house than you can carry while carrying LO as well? Like if you go to the grocery store?

Re: Q about going in and out with LO

  • If I have to bring groceries in, I take LO out of the car (still in the carseat), set it on the floor and then bring in all of my stuff.

Same if I am packing up the car to leave.  She goes in last.  I put her in the carseat, I pack up all of the stuff, then I pack her up!

  • I usually carry DD in my Moby wrap in a front carry, DS in a mei tai in a back carry and do as many trips as necessary.

Talk about having your hands full :))

This is what I've done the few times I've had to do it without DH home, but I felt guilty about leaving him in there even just for the brief amount of time it takes.

I never feel guilty about it.  She's fine and I'm getting my stuff done.  You gotta do what you gotta do!

Exactly! They are safe in the car seat. Just don't leave them in the car while taking stuff in the house :) Or like PP said, you can put them in a Moby and do trips like that. But really in the house in the car seat works!

Ditto! Except I put DD in the carseat on the kitchen table... in the middle so i know its not gonna fall off or anything. We have a Great Dane who LOVES DD and if i leave the carseat on the floor he would seriously lick her silly and she can only deal with him for like a minute and shes over it haha so i have to put her where he cant get to her. lol
