I keep having this sharp pain in my lower right abdomen, way down by my pelvis. It's not like a cramp, but more of a sharp twinge that comes and then goes again in a matter of seconds. I have somehow convinced myself that this is a sign of ectopic pregnancy. I have my first appointment on Thursday, but I can't decide if this is something I should be concerned about, or if I should just wait until then. Any input?
Re: sharp pain on one side?
Hi! I have that sometimes, as well as some cramps all only on the right side. I have already had my ultrasound and the baby is exactly where it should be! When I asked my doctor he said its because of my growing uterus! You should only worry if it is severe, doesn't go away or is accompanied by spotting!
Hope that helps!
THIS! if the pains are sharp and stabbing and continue then i would go in sooner. especially if you have any spotting. i was having them on my left side. sometimes i just had to curl in a ball they were so bad. my dr. suspected eptopic. at 6 wks i had an u/s and there he was! our dr had only given us a 25% chance because my left side is almost 100% blocked and they could tell that was the side i ovulated on. the pain was my poor lil guy trying to make it through but he did! after about 7 wks the pain was gone. hope yours is just normal stretching and you get to see your lil peanut on an u/s thursday!
7 weeks tomorrow. Thanks again everyone for the reassurance. I haven't felt the pain yet this morning, so that paired with your replies has calmed me down a lot.
MUST STOP GOOGLING.
