They stopped the mag!!!

I'm so hoping my contractions don't pick up again! They are putting me on nifedipine and trabutaline orally, though. And the OB said that if those don't work and I go into labor again, they won't stop it since he has the steroids in. That really freaks me out, but I have to remain positive. I did have some small amount of progress since they checked me on friday. I'm 1.5cm dialated and 75% effaced. I know I can stay like that for weeks and thats what I'm praying for!!!! Thank you again ladies for all of your support!!

Oh - here's hoping that did the trick. My sister sad the mag was HORRIBLE. She, incidentally, had contrax from 24 weeks on with both pregnancies - and she carried her singleton TO HIS DUE DATE (she was 2cm dilated and 75% effaced from about 30 weeks on). With the twins, she carried them to 37 1/2 weeks. Same situation. I'll cross my fingers that yours works out the same.

No problem. She was shocked she made it that long with both kiddos - but the awesome news was that her singleton was over 8lbs and her twins were almost 7 and almost 8 lbs. Both labors were relatively short as well- lots of priming, little labor, kwim?

Anyhow, you get the same outcome!

I'm doing really well on just 10mg of Nifedipine every six hours. It's already been over 3 weeks since I went into preterm labor at 32 weeks. My doctor is happy that I've come this far and just tells me that I probably wasn't in preterm labor after all. Hmmm..... felt like it was to me. Good luck to you! I also got the steroid shot, and will stop taking the Procardia between 36-37 weeks. I really do not like how it's making me feel(groggy) but if it works it's all worth it! And drink a lot of water, put your feet up, don't work too hard, and take care of yourself. I went to half days at work after my hospital stay and I think all these things really helped me.
