Last night around 4am, I got up for the nightly pee break & I noticed a teensy bit of pink on the tp & I was a little more "damp" than usual. (sorry if TMI!) I thought "oh crap, my water just broke" but i haven't really been very damp since & from all I read, once the water breaks, it doesn't stop. I have been having a little jelly-like discharge all morning & again from what I have read, it isn't necessarily a big plug all at once for everyone. It can also be a gradual thing.
No contractions what so ever, just something that feels like menstrual cramps that I have been having for weeks & dr said at last couple of visits not to worry about them since I hadn't been progressing at all.
So if I am (or have already) lost my plug, is it still just a waiting game? I don't need to call dr unless I start having regular contractions, right?
Re: so i think i am losing mucous plug!!
Not everyone looses their mucus plug. I lost mine and when I told my OB they said there was "no way" because I was 34 weeks when I was almost 99% positive that I lost it. I kept telling them what it looked like and that i was sure I lost it, they kept saying no and the appt went on.
If you did lose it, it's just a waiting game for when stuff starts to happen. My water broke and then nothing happened, no contractions, no nothing, just TONS of leaking! Like 3 pads in an hour time frame. Then they said to come in if it kept up, so I did. I guess only 25% of women have their water break naturally, or at least that's what my OB said.
Good luck! Surely it has to be soon!
