Woohoo CHs...and a hpt ?

So I got my CHs and according to FF our timing chances are high. Big Smile My question is when should I test so I don't risk getting an early positve that results in a chemical pregnancy? This cycle was uncharastically long for me and I'd normally get AF in about 3 days. I know I should wait until 10DPO, but FF says 18. TIA!

I would, but that would only be 6DPO. This cycle was uncharacteristically long for me. My body attemped to O twice. The second time was successful.

A chemical pregnancy is not a false positive. A false positive is caused by a faulty test. You could wait until 18dpo and still experience knowing about a chemical pregnancy.

Do you know how many DPO you normally get AF? If so wait till than.

This. Also, calculate your expected period by your normal LP, not your normal cycle length. Like my LP lately has been around 11-12 days, so I know to expect my period 11-12 days after I O, regardless of what CD that is. HTH!

I wish I did, but sadly no as this is my first cycle charting and using OPKs.

BabyTrippin - I chose the wrong wording. I meant testing early before it had a chance to implant. I didn't realize it can still happen at 18 DPO. I thought it was just early testing. I'll change it.

Your chart shows alot of +opk you sure they were indeed positive? I always have LH in my system and always a light line on my opk. Were you using smiliey opk or cheapoe line ones? And was the line always as dark or darker than the control line?

Also, FWIW, I didn't get a BFP with my first pregnancy until a week after AF was "due." I didn't start to miscarry until a week after that, and my doctor still considered it a chemical pregnancy.

I try to wait at least 12DPO but I have DH to make sure I don't POAS and hides the HPT's. GL.

I know, it seems nuts. I am 100% sure they were +. I've scrutinized them to no end and hoped I misinterpreted them, but no. They always are exactly as dark or darker than the control. I had Answer brand for the originals and then Dollar General brand for the first two +s the second time and the rest were my Wondfo's. I did get a - on the DG brand on day 3, but the Wondfo strips came in the mail the same day and I got a + on it (probably more sensitive).

I researched it online and it could be PCOS or stress related. I'm going to address it with my doctor whether or not this cycle results in a bfp.

YAY, congrats on finally O'ing!!! Fingers crossed all of that waiting pays off!!!

And for what its worth, I would probably wait until 12 dpo to test since you don't know how long your LP usually is. Of course, I'm a total pee pusher and I have never actually waited that long myself. lol I'm not really sure you can avoid knowing about a chemical pregnancy though, unless you waited a month or so to test.

Thanks. Yeah, I'll probably wait around that time period. I just mentioned in the 2ww post that I would wait 10 more days (13DPO) and that would be the day before my bday. It would make a great present...then again, if I didn't get a bfp, it may ruin my day (or at least my mood). Ironically, FF predicted my EDD to be the day after DH's bday. That would be 2 of the best bday gifts in one. Here's to being optimistic, lol.

That sounds like a great plan. :-) I hope you get that birthday surprise! And that would be so amazing for your EDD to be right after your DH's birthday... Maybe its a sign! I'm seriously hoping this is your month!
