Carrie (dream dresses mentioned)

I saw you said you wouldn't be able to buy a dream dress. Well, sweetie that isn't true. If you go to a bridal salon and find something you absolutely love often they will sell it off the rack at a discounted price.  Also, most have a section of last years dresses that they are trying to get rid of.  I think you should grab your best girlfriend or even you FIANCE ::snicker:: and head to a shop and try on dresses for fun.  It just makes it all more real and you will enjoy it.  And I may or may not have brought several bottles of champagne when I did this.

If you do find a dress you love, you have time for alterations too.

ETA: Ebay also has lots of dresses at fantastic prices :)

And JCrew has some beautiful dresses as does Nicole Miller

  • Ooh I like this idea!

The one I posted on the other thread was off the rack, by the way.  WHite House/Black Market had some white dresses on their website.

  • I have another idea if you find a dress that you love a lot of times they will sell designer dresses online- if you know the designer and model number, you can buy it from an online place.
  • I totally agree! I got my designer gown, off the rack for under a hundred bucks! Even better if fit like a dream and I had no alterations to do!  Hit those boutiques girl!

  • If you want something fun for Vegas, maybe try www.modcloth.com, too.
