Potty Training

Was doing great but now it's like we are starting over?

Ds has been doing pretty good for the last two weeks.  He still wasn't telling me when he had to go but pretty much did every poop and pee on the potty throughout the day.  He was loving getting stickers and I thought we were on the right track.  But suddenly the last three days he tells me "I don't like it." when I say lets go sit on the potty and its becoming a fight.  He will protest and keep getting up even though I KNOW he has to go and then will have an accident.  Earlier he peed on the living room floor.  I'm not sure where to go from here.  Do I just ease up? Give him a few days?

  • This is pretty much us over the past 24 hours. I'm wondering if it means he's just not ready? But he says he still wants to wear big boy pants, so I'm tempted to carry on. But it was so frustrating today - 7 accidents, 2 wees on the potty, and lots of screaming. After no accidents in a week. I don't get it...

  • ugh! I am right there with you ladies.  I am just trying to stay as patient as possible and keep on trucking through this!  Whatever you do, don't give up.  I was reading that someone would set a timer and then when the timer went off he/she would take their LO to the potty.  Also, it might be time to try a different reward...maybe sticker aren't cutting it anymore.  I have been switching up rewards every few days or so.

  • I'm also in this proverbial boat :( Except we've been accident free for almost 2 whole months!!!! This is ridiculous. I'm actually thinking of camping out at home this weekend to get her back on track! Ugh.
