We met the first day of Kindergarten and I wish I could be standing up with her today on her "big day" as a bridesmaid...but the wedding is 7 hours away.
I knew from the day I got my BFP that I'd be missing this day, but I still feel sad. DH asked me last night if I wanted to risk it and jump in the car this morning...but I know this isn't realistic...at all.
I sent the girls a huge Edible Arrangement for getting ready and just got a picture of all them saying hi from the house she grew up in.
DS#2 will so be worth it, but it's still bittersweet.
Re: My best and oldest friend is getting married today
Aww that is bittersweet... but you're right 14 hours of drive time would be pushing it a bit right now. May her day go as smoothly and be filled with as much love that is surrounding her - even from 7 hours away

Aww that's tough. I missed my best friends 1st wedding (to a guy that I absolutely hated) because her groom would not allow her to invite me. It ended up being a small (shotgun) event and I was at her 2nd wedding (to a guy that I like). But every now and then I get some tidbit of info about her 1st wedding like the fact that the reason I wasn't invited was because of him and because it was just a small family affair as I had been told or of the fact that a former coworker of ours that was invited because her and bff's mom were sorta friends and it makes me mad about it again. It still irks me that there were signs like that with him and she married him anyway!
So I'm sad you're having to miss the wedding but at the same time I'm glad you're missing your BFF's wedding for a much better reason than I did!
