When do you need to make 1st appointment?

I am 8 weeks pregnant and was wandering when should you schedule your 1st appointment.

    Lots of girls call right when they get pregnant so that they can get in at about 8 weeks.

    I would call right away - sometimes it takes a while to get an appointment.  With my first pregnancy, it was at about 8 weeks, but since I've had  complications and miscarriages, they see me the second I find out I am pregnant for beta tests and early ultrasounds starting at 6 weeks.

    I would say about now. I called when I got a positive home pregnancy test. About 8 weeks is when they want to do the viability ultrasound and blood tests.

    My first is at 10 weeks. I don't think I will have an ultrasound until 20 weeks. I'm not sure when the "triple test" is supposed to be done...
