apparently Im NOT in labor....
sooo, yesterday at about 11am, I was cramping hard core, but definitely manageable. throughout the afternoon, they turned into tightening with pain in my hips and pubic bone, they coinicided with heavy tightening. (they were totally unlike BHs too) So we went to L&D, even though I wasnt necessarily dying of pain. They checked me and I was 1cm dilated, so they did the usual "youre prolly dehydrated, heres some water."
They got INTENSE then and were 1 1/5 minutes apart. I was a very good labor patient with DD#1, but these had be hysterical they hurt so bad. After drinking a gallon of water, they spaced out to every 4 minutes, but were still excrutiating.
They checked me again, only 1cm. So they hooked me up to an IV and they got tolerable then. So they gave my the IV pain drugs they give me every time I go in, gave us a prescription for Darvaset (sp) and sent us home...still having painful contractions.
So here I am in bed...still contracting..The idiot doc (thats a whole different story) said dont come in unless my water breaks or Im bleeding. So If Im having excrutiating and timeable pain, stay at home. Im so frustrated. I was certain I was going to have her last night and so excited. False alarms are such boner kills.
Im still pregnant..at home, feeling sorry for myself, lol.

That seems scary to me- only coming in if your water breaks or you're bleeding. If it were me, I'd probably go in sooner, but I'm a bad patient.

I'm still pissed about this kim, and I am not even you so I cannot imagine how you must feel. I know my doc always told me if I was contracting like that and not progressing that they would push things along if I wanted so I wasn't "stuck" in labor. Dr. Douchebag is an a$$hole.

Darn. I was looking forward to seeing pics of the babe sometime this weekend...and I'm sure you're more than ready to meet her.
Sorry about the false alarm but I can't stop laughing at this phrase. At least you still have your sense of humor.

Send someone out to get you some great takeout (chinese is yummy) and a couple movies and try to keep your mind off the contractions...i would send some over if i was closer
