If you could re-register?

What are some things that you would register for that you didn't get? Or, if you have multiples / are prego / TTC #2? DH's best friend's wife got this awesome 3 stage toy for their DS: it's a play yard, exersaucer, stand-up activity center. I was beyond jealous. Also, I'd want a Sophie, a better sling, a better swing/cradle. How about you?

Looking back, I'd have registered for a wipes warmer (I know ppl say they're dumb, but DS didn't like cold wipes on his bum!), and more newborn clothes (I had none and DS was in NB for 3 months).

I think we did pretty well with our registry. We did have to buy quite a bit of stuff at the beginning, but you really don't know what your baby will like. Swing? Bounce chair? Sling?

DS hated to be worn in the sling, and that was def a waste of money, but maybe DS2 will like it!

I would have registered for the Graco travel system that has the flip handle so you can have your LO facing you even when they're out of the infant seat. Apparently it did exist when I was pg with DS, but I never saw it.

I loved the wipes warmer, a good $20 investment. I've given it as a gift.

One of those swings that goes side to side, and is more for the baby to lay down in. I think that would have come in handy at nights!

I would have not gotten a Bjorn or a Sling and just registered for a Moby.

I would have got the Medela PISA instead of the Ameda Purely Yours.

I would have invested in a swing.

I wouldn't have bought a Diaper Genie, I thought they magically contained the smell of poo, but I was wrong.

I also would have registered for a video monitor instead of a regular one. It drives me nuts that I have to sneak into his room to check on him. We have squeaky floors.

I just bought a great umbrella stroller for a friend, but this one has a basket too. I love my travel system, but needed a smaller option for here and there. We got a really simple one, but it doesn't have a basket. I didn't realize how dependent I am on that basket! lol

Honestly... not much. I really did a lot of research before I registered so I was pretty pleased with what I got.

The bouncy seat was a dud, but we ended up getting a new one 2 months later from his uncles for Hanukkah.

I never used the Angel-Care monitor, but I was able to return that, so it wasn't an issue.

I also did a ton of research so I am pretty happy. The only changes would be the monitor. I would have registered for the video one instead of the regular. It now sits in a closet since we bought a video one when she was 6 months old. I wouldn't have registered for a big tub just one of those sling ones. And thats about it I think.

Yeah, the Diaper Genie was a total let down.

I would not have registered for the travel system giant stroller we have (Graco).

I would do a snap n go, infant seat and then a nice Maclaren.

Our Graco is in the rafters and I am researching smaller strollers.

I would also have registered for more NB clothes. DD is so skinny that she was in NB clothes until she was 3 or 4 months old. A bath sling, since she hated the tub we got for her.

Things I would NOT register for again: definitely the diaper genie. What a letdown. Her super-expensive swing that she hated with a passion. Hopefully baby # 2 will like it.
