Doc appt. this morning

So, I went in for my b/w and sonogram this morning and to discuss my low progesterone (5.87 on day 21).  I'm starting my first round of Clomid tomorrow!  Woohoo!  I also asked her about putting me on prog supplements, but I guess she didn't really think I needed that.  Maybe that will be once I get pregnant?  I might ask her about it again at my CD10 appt. next Friday.  She said I could take them if I really wanted to. 

Also, DH and I are going to Napa on what will be my CD 17-21 (I usually ovulate day 14ish)  , so I asked her about drinking wine.  She said "I wouldn't."  Indifferent  Then she said I could do some tastings since they are so small.  I wasn't really expecting her to say I shouldn't drink at all since my other OB didn't ever tell me that.  What do your docs say about this?

    I hope this plan works for you.  I'm surprised about the progesterone, but your chart does look like your LP is good. 

    As for the drinking, I drank at 11-12DPO not knowing I was pg and my doc said it was fine.

    My OB never said anything about it. However, my RE said "there are some studies that show drinking in moderation doesn't affect the pregnancy but there are other studies that show that even an ounce of alcohol can cause miscarriage." That being said, even if you O'd on CD 14, on CD 21 would be about the earliest you'd see implantation- so the first you'd be sharing anything with the baby. So I say drink in moderation.

    Good Luck!  I don't know anything about the drinking but you can at least taste!  I guess that kinda sucks if you're going to Napa.

    that's good for starting clomid!

    hmm, as for drinking i'm leaiving on vacation  tomorrow and will most likely O in the next 3 days but i'm planning on drinking the entire time.  Stick out tongue

    Thanks everyone!  I think I will just limit my wine intake each day.  I mean, I have to have some wine if I'm in Napa!

    I'm glad you have a plan. I've never asked my OB about drinking, but my PCP told me to only drink while I'm on my period.

    Glad that you have a good plan and I hope the clomid goes well.  As for the wine, my RE and my OB didn't ever tell me none at all, just be responsible.
