bottle ? from 2nd tri

in Babies: 0 - 3 Months

Hi ladies,

I'm in the process of completing my registry and I can't decide between Tommy Tippee Closer to Nature or Born Free.   I do plan to bf.  Do any of you have experience with either?  If you have a compeltely different rec, please let me know that too.

    I use born free and DS seems to like them.  I mostly BF, but he never has an issue taking the bottle.  I haven't used any other brands though so I can't compare.

    i have tried them all.  (well most of them) and i like dr. browns best i think.  the born free ones you just have to hold the bottle a certain way so the "slit" is up and it is kinda hard to see the slit.  i don't really like the nipples on tommee tippee- they are really floppy and my DS squishes it and bends it. avent bottles leak something awful.

    We BF and use Born Free bottles.  DS took them easily and they haven't caused any problems.

    I've used all the different kinds and like Born Free the best.  They are a little more expensive but they help with DD's acid reflux.  They are also great if you have to use a thicker formula because they have a good variable flow nipple.  The nipples that come with them are just regular nipples, not the ones with the slits (variable flow) as PP said.

    I am breastfeeding and supplementing with formula and use Avent.  DD has no problem going to the breast and the bottle.  I did the same for DD#1 but used Dr. Brown's and she didn't have any issues either.

    We were BF and FF in the beginning and tried every brand but Born Free. DD had trouble with the flow of all the size zero nipples except NUK so that's the one we went with. Now that she's a little older we've started using the Tommy Tippee bottles we registered for and she's had no trouble or confusion. You might end up having to try different brands to find the best fit for you and baby.
