For the sake of always repeating myself LOL I have avoided meds this whole pregnancy, I have associated benadryl and Tylenol with my first lost (yes I know they had nothing to do with it) but it's my irrational fear.
Well, I am really getting sick this time I have tons of sinus drainage down my throat and mainly on the left side, and my left side of my throat is killing me from it. Plus I feel a little achey, no fever as of yet.
My dr says benadryl but obviously I don't want to take that. What do you drs ok for this?

Re: What do you take when you are sick?
I have terrible, terrible sinus problems, so I use a neti pot every day to keep the passages clear. You can try it now, but it may not be speedy enough...but its good preventive in the future.
Talk to your pharmacist. There are certain types of non-pseudophedrine decongestants that we can take. They can direct you to them.
The list of approved medications that my doctor gave me, says for cold cough and allergies, Robitussin, or robitussin DM, claritin or claritin D, sudafed, benadryl, mucinex, mucinex DM, Afrin, Rhinocort, saline wash and nasonex.
I hope you feel better soon.
