Question re: maternity jeans

Are there any maternity jeans out there that DON'T fall down?  I've already tried a few pairs (jeans and capris) and all day long I'm pulling them up.  = Would a maternity band possibly help keep them up?

Re: Question re: maternity jeans

  • I have two pairs of maternity jeans, one from H&M and the other from Ann Taylor. I find that the one from H&M does not fall down as much as the one from Ann Taylor. I think that it has to do with the panel because the jeans from H&M have a full panel.

  • I love my Old Navy Maternity "Real Waist" Low-rise Jeans. They stay up and are super-comfy, and not too expensive.

  • I have to wear a band to hold my maternity jeans up. It works great!

  • I have a pair of motherhood maternity jeans that I don't have any issues with.  They are nothing special, just basic jeans, but they stay up and look pretty good.  I would try the maternity band trick, I did that with all my maternity pants when I had a smaller belly and it worked great!

     Agreed.

I also have a pair of full panel ones from Kohl's that don't fall down.

  • I love the ones from Motherhood maternity that have the secret fit full belly panel they stay up really well and are super comfortable

  • Just be thankful that they actually fall down... that just means you aren't too big!

As for me, I am carrying wide, so I have the lovely "muffin top" going on...keeps the pants up! (bleh)

  • Thanks for the input - I'm going to shop around this weekend & see what I find.  The ON real waist jeans look good - but would I be able to wear pants w/o a full panel as I get bigger, or will it be uncomfortable & digging into your skin?

  • i went to kid to kid, the resale shop for babies and kiddos, and got a bunch of hidded belly pants, shorts, and capris...i got 10 pair for $40...they have the full belly panel- they look kinda like panty hose that go up and over your belly, lol...they stay up and they also cover your belly so that you dont have skin hanging out when you get bigger

i hated not having a panel when i was bigger with my son- shirts that were too short made me uncomfortable about my belly hanging out...and the bands always dig in to me

Ditto. I bought two pairs and LOVE them.

  • Mine fell down until 3rd tri with DS.  That's pretty typical.  I always kept a cami of some kind (NY&Co long length ones are good) under all my tops to hold them up with huge success.  I need to get some more of those.

  • Full panel is the key.  I've found that anything else starts to slide down as the day goes on and the denim stretches out.  Which is another point: make sure you buy the right size.  If they are too big, they will naturally fall.
