Ok, so any kind of red meat makes me want to gag. Haven't gotten it down this entire pregnancy so far. Some friends say if they had a boy, all they craved was steaks and totally avoided meat with their girls.
Anyone have something similar happen to them? I'm thinking I've got a girl cookin' in there right now.
Re: Meat - Boy or Girl Poll
I'm thinking this is probably your first and you've fallen for an old wives tale.
I have not eaten red meat since I was 16, so about 16 years ago. I never want red meat. Until this pregnancy. pictures of steak make my mouth drool. I am having a girl this time around.
With my boys I couldnt even brown ground turkey without gagging.
Sooo. I have to say that what you have been told is not accurate. File this under Myth Busted!
Meats make me gag too... especially fish and chicken! But all other signs point to a boy in my belly. Well, when i say signs i mean the chinese gender chart, the lack of nausea, the position of my bump, etc...
I remember a loooooooooong time ago an old woman told me that if i craved noodles all the time then it would be a boy, and if i craved sweets all the time it would be a girl. (shrug)
If only these things were accurate!
I think old wives tales are a bunch of crap and don't believe any of them. But so far during my pregnancy I have definitely wanted big bloody steaks all the time or any meat for that matter (even though I always loved them before pregnancy as well) and I am having a boy.
This post reminded me to take my porterhouse out for tomorrow. Thank you!
All meat made me gag during 1st tri, but second tri that faded to just chicken. In the last couple weeks I've been able to eat chicken again (although I'm picky about what kind of chicken).
I'm having a boy.
If you're looking for old wives tale fun, try taking some online gender predictor quizzes. They're really just for fun, but I will say that every single one I took told me I was having a boy
This. I lived off of hamburgers and cheeseburgers in my first tri. I still love them but I'm trying to eat healthier, now :P
With DD, I craved sweets and fruits. I wasn't turned off from meat, necessarily, but it wasn't at the top of my list.
With DS, I loved meat and spicy foods! Couldn't get enough. Only time in my life I could handle spicy.
With this one, I'm back on the fruit and unhealthy sweets cravings. I do want meat every now and then, but probably only because I've been deprived of it in the last 6 months.
We'll find out in 11 days the gender, and I'm leaning towards girl because of my cravings.

I haven't had a hamburger in 5 years. Well the other day I just had to have an In N Out hamburger and it was delicious!!! Now when I think about a hamburger I get a little sick to my stomach
My husband is a meat and potatoes kinda guy and is convinced that his boy made me eat it. All of the charts say were having a boy but still got some time before we know for sure
I haven't eaten red meat in 18 years & thought for sure I would crave it when I got PG. Far from it!
I couldn't go near ground turkey (my staple) or chicken for pretty much all of the 1st tri (cooking or eating). Still don't eat it much at all. I did crave eggs for breakfast though - Every.Single.Day.
I'm having a girl.
This is yet another OWT (and one that sounds totally old-fashioned in that boys=heavy, protien, "manly" foods and girls=dainty salads and such).
Meat disgusts me most of the time since being PG. Our baby is a boy.
