Let's say your pregnant. How pregnant would you be before you would want your husband to stop traveling? When my husband travels it's at least an 18 hour plane ride if that makes a difference in your answer.
When I was pregnant and he traveled, it was a nice selfish time for me, and I stayed in my pajamas for days in a row! (TMI??) It's NOW that I'd like him to stop traveling to help with the baby!
Really though, I was fine with it up till about 35 weeks (first baby though), but it doesn't matter what everyone else thinks; it's when YOU want him to stop traveling.
If it were me, I'd say I wouldn't want him going that far after about 30 weeks. You really just never know!! But I also have no family in the area at all either, so that makes it harder.
I hate the travel and he knows that. Just trying To see what peoples thoughts are. I will eventually make a stink! Looks like a trip coming up when I'm around 34 weeks. Boo hoo
Well, my DH did travel when I was 37 weeks, but it was just an overnight to LA so I'm not sure that really counts. An 18 hour plane ride makes a huge difference in my answer. I'd be a little anxious about a flight that long anytime after 32 weeks or so, but probably wouldn't say absolutely no until 36 weeks, unless I was high risk or my OB thought there was some indication I'd go into pre-term labor.
Can I vote even though DH didn't travel while I was pg but did quite a lot beforehand?
I would say 30 weeks, would be my cut off. My reasoning isn't so much about going into labor early but about my ability to care for a toddler on my own for a few days (or a week) while I was that pg.
I would probably restrict my husband for the final two months if he traveled that far. Mine only drives within 4 hours of home when he travels, so I will probably make him stop for the final 4 weeks.
I wanted him to stop within a week of my due date. The reality was that he didn't and although he was there for the birth, he had to leave back out 2 days after DD was born.
With G he did have a tour in the third tri that brought him home when I was 36 weeks.
I was super lucky that he was home for the majority of my pregnancy with winnie. I would have wanted him home the whole last trimester since it was super hard while taking care of G.
I have a friend who's DH is a touring musician also. Her DD was 18 months old when their DS was born. Her DH was gone for a month touring and got back when she was like 38 weeks 5 days. Can you imagine!?

I couldn't even imagine! I hope that girl had some family to help with the toddler. Its not so much the travel that bugs me, its taking care of Logan on my own. Hes 18 months right now, and quite a handful! With no family in the area, i'm super tired and count the minutes till dh comes home. Thank freaking god I found day care for him 1x per week. She will be a gift when DH travels!
Re: Question if your husband travels
I had hypermesis, so not only did he not travel at all, he also worked from home half the time to take care of me.
If I'd had a "normal" pregnancy, I'd say 30-34 weeks would be my cutoff.

For me, as long as I wasn't having any other complications (i know they could pop up at any time) I'd be ok until 35 weeks.
Before little dude arrived, hubby traveled for 2 weeks per trip, usually just to California, but he did have a few trips overseas too.
Now, he hates traveling for long periods so usually he's gone m-f and home for the weekends.
But, I'm not you and if you aren't comfortable about it you really should talk to him about it. Good luck!
He traveled up until I was about 35 weeks, but it was only to SoCal and I felt pretty good. I'd say whatever makes you feel most comfortable.
