I posted this on the wrong board earlier...
I recently had baby #2 and abdominal surgery #3. In two weeks I should be cleared to begin working out. Now that my baby making days are over and done with, I really want to focus on getting into shape so I can keep up with my boys. A friend recently purchased a workout called "Insanity". Is anyone familiar with this? What workouts seem to be getting the results? I won't be able to get to the gym for about 6 months when my kids can be in the child care center so I am stuck working out at home for a while. Any advice welcome!
Re: New with questions
Never heard of that workout. I usually go to the gym but for days I don't I like the 30 Day Shred for at home. I have also had friends have good results with the P90x. Good luck!
Insanity is a quite intense workout program - lots of plyometrics, high intensity cardio drills, etc. If you haven't worked out in awhile, this might not be the way to start off...perhaps something to work towards?
Can you walk outside with your kids to get started? There are usually fitness DVD's at the library and there are a TON through netflix...many are watch it now options!
