Boy Moms: What is DS Going to Be for Halloween?

Bonus points if you can link to the costume!! I am torn b/w wanting to do a sweet costume (a cute animal, last year he was a monkey) and somethinig more "grown-up." I was looking at cute puppy costumes but someone in my playgroup (also with a DS) made a disparaging remark about doing that with her DS b/c of his age so now I am second guessing myself.

I think they can be whatever they want---if he likes the puppy costume, go for it.

DS might be elmo this year---he was a giraffe last year and still loves wearing it! I got an Elmo play costume at Walmart a while back and I thought Halloween might be the best time to really wear it. BUT I think we'll shop together and if there's something he's super excited about, then maybe we'll do that.

ds#2 is going to be Thomas simply b/c we have that costume from when ds#1 was little. Ds#1 will probably be some super hero but we haven't really thought about it yet.

I don't get why it would be bad to put him in a puppy costume. If he likes puppies then i say go for it.

I'm trying to get Dh to do Barney Rubble, me as Betty and DS as Bamm-Bamm... Dh is a total spoil sport though, so I'll probably beg for the next month then just find something cute at Target.

we were torn between a firefighter or Elmo because he is really into both of these but they seem like grown upish costumes and he has many years to dress up in grown upish costumes.. so DS is going to be a lion. He makes the cutest lion noise so I figured this would be perfect.

An old fashioned golfer, with the knickers, sweater vest, knee socks, newsboy cap, etc...

I need to bit the bullet and order the knickers and cap from Amazon.

DS is going to be a puppy, i think it will be adorable! dogs are his favorite thing right now and even though he doesn't say hardly anything, he can bark! a friend is giving us her old one from last year...from One Step Ahead. I think by next year he will want to choose, so i am going to enjoy this last one and make it more babyish.

The boys are going as doctors. I'm going to get them scrubs and a white coat and toy stethoscopes to carry around. I might even try to find one of those paper hat things to put on them. The shoe covers might be a bit much!

DS was a monkey last year and this year he is going to be an elephant. I found a really nice costume on craigslist for half price.

I think that they will have so many options later on that he is going to be something I want.

DS had this costume last year. It is so cute. I am still debating on what he will be this year. I was thinking a duck since he loves ducks but we did a rubber ducky theme for his birthday so that may be too many duckies. I was thinking of going cute this year since in a few years he probably will want to be a super hero or something.

I was going to dress DS up as a monkey (because we always call him a monkey), but I saw this costume and couldn't resist! Plus, DD is now going to dress up as Dorothy.

Colin is going to be Charlie Brown. I like that it is simple and he can actually wear it all day since it is just a yellow tee shirt with the black zig zag across the bottom. He has a couple of snoppy stuffed animals he can choose from to carry around too. Now I just have to find the yellow/black shirt.

When DS was one, I found a skeleton sweatsuit at BRU. When he was 2, he wore Superman jammies from Target. It worked as a costume as well. I am not sure what he will be this year.
